چکیده
Abstract The separation of fine mineral particles, especially using environmentally friendly approaches, is one the main problems in processing low-grade ores and re-processing mining tailings. This work assesses potential biosurfactants as collectors flotation ultrafine (smaller than 20 μm) particles hematite malachite. As biosurfactants, we test acetylated acidic (ac-ASL) lactonic sophorolipids (ac-LSL). In addition, n-dodecyl-β-D-maltoside (DDM) used a model non-ionic alkyl disaccharide surfactant, sodium oleate (NaOl) reference. are characterized surface tension foam analysis. interaction minerals with surfactants zeta potential, solubility, single-mineral flotation. collecting properties compared for (− coarser (38–90 µm) particle size two-mineral malachite against quartz. improves grade hematite, well grades DDM malachite, which explained by weak interactions metal oxides fatty acids DDM. At same time, ac-LSL ac-ASL highly tolerant to size. These results indicate that an interesting alternative conventional petroleum-based Fe Cu oxides. Moreover, proper selection can help combat problem fines. Graphical

Comparison of Adsorption of Phenol O-O and N-O Chelating Collectors at the Malachite/Water Interface in Flotation
To separate one base metal mineral from another by flotation, it is indispensable to identify chemical reagents that specifically interact with the surface metal sites of one mineral or a group of minerals. This work studies the interactions of chelating collectors which offer the best potential for collecting abilities and mineral specificity with a typical refractory oxide mineral (malachite)...
متن کاملFlotation Chemistry of Hematite/oleate System
Oleate flotation characteristics of hematite have been investigated in thjs study under a wide range of experimental conditions of pH, temperature, ionic strength and collector concentration. The study revealed the following major features of this system which include: (a) a maximum in floatability in the neutral pH range; (b) an increase in the flotation response of hematite with increase eith...
متن کاملSeparation of Ultra - Fine Sulphur Particles from Nta Dispersion by Aphron Flotation
Oxidative scrubbing is used to remove H2S from gas streams. A key problem in regeneration of the absorbent is the removal of fine particles of sulphur from the suspension of the scrubbing liquid. Dispersions of ultra-fine bubbles have been called "colloidal gas aphrons" or aphrons for short. These dispersions have interesting properties and it was found that they have particular advantages in t...
متن کاملEco-Friendly Synthesis and Characterization of Ni-Si Nanoparticles Mixed Oxides as Catalyst for
The nanoparticles of Ni–Si mixed oxides were prepared by co-precipitation method using nickel nitrate; Ni(NO3)2 6H2O and tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS). The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and hydrogen temperature program reduction (H2-TPR). The results revealed that Ni–Si mixed oxides particles were obtained with average particle ...
